Note: The Missouri Libraries 2 Go service is for our library patrons only.
You will be prompted to enter your library card information when you begin your download.
Remember, we also have a reciprocal agreement with the Newton County Library… If you have a valid card from their library system, just stop in and get a free card from any McDonald county library branch. You may then checkout items from our library, and download free eBooks & Audiobooks from our website!

Inter-Library Loan Service
IF what you are looking for is not listed in our catalog, you may be able to loan the book from another library.
This is called Inter-Library Loan (ILL).
We will order the book for you, and notify you when it comes in.
You may then pick up the book from the Pineville library, and return it there when you are done.
Inter-Library Loan is a way that you can order a book from another Library if it is not already available here. You will be required to pay the postage for this service. $1.50-$1.75 is the average rate per book, depending on the weight. Larger books may cost substantially more. You can set a maximum amount you are willing to pay when you place your request.
We are also excited to be involved in a statewide courier service. We have delivery twice a week and only charge $1 per book if the lending library is also a member of this service. Please contact us for more information and to see if the book you want qualifies for this courier service.

Here’s how we do it…
- Search our Local Card Catalog…
…to check to make sure that the book you need is not already available somewhere in the county by checking our ‘Atriuum’ card catalog. (We cannot process loan requests for titles we own that are currently checked out. However, you can ask the staff to RESERVE it for you when it does come in!) - Next, try: Missouri FirstSearch…
If the book is not listed in our catalog, go to one of the library’s public access computers, and try the “FirstSearch Missouri Group Catalog” next.* - If it can’t be found in Missouri, try the entire WorldCat…
If no Missouri libraries have the item, try changing the option “Search in database:” from “MoGroupCatalog” to “WorldCat” – Or you can just click this “WorldCat” link:*
- Make note of the Title, Author, and ISBN number if possible, and enter the information into our

- * Please Note: You can only access the Missouri Group Catalog and the OCLC FirstSearch from computers located at the McDonald County Library (Pineville or Noel branches). It is not available from the Internet at large.
- If you are not able to access Missouri FirstSearch and/or WorldCat, you are welcome to go ahead and fill out the Inter-Library Loan Request Form, and our staff will do their best to find what you are looking for.
